Worlds Strongest Operator 💪🇺🇸 Keep up the great work!
Mr Bartley, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support. You and the Spud Inc team were truly able to make our first annual World's Strongest Operator in memory of SSgt Dylan Elchin a huge success. WSO allowed us to honor Dylan through a competition of great valor and magnitude as well as raise a good amount of money for charity of his mother's choosing in his name. The support you showed was very overwhelming and I cannot speak highly enough of the operators' reactions to your generosity.
We had five events in Dylan's name and some very impressive feats of strength took place.
The competition took place featuring the strongest Special Operational Forces operators in the world and was shared with all SOF higher leadership. At the 26 Special Tactics Squadron "The Strongest Military Unit In The World'', we feel it very necessary that we host the competition annually. Continuing to bring the strongest operators in the world together to compete for the title as well as celebrate the life and heroics of SSgt Dylan Elchin.
"Events such as the World’s Strongest Operator contest are hugely beneficial at the squadron level for a number of reasons. Not only do they provide a future goal for our operators to prepare for, they are great opportunities for inter-service rivalry and competition and they highlight the emphasis SOF puts on the human weapon system. That weapon system is forged and honed day-in and day-out in garrison so it can be utilized on the field of battle, but the WSO gives us a chance to periodically show off those individual strength achievements to a broader audience outside the small circle of SOF. I have no doubt this will become a much larger event with staying power, and I’m surprised we haven’t been doing this as a regular event for years. A big thanks to our sponsors who helped to make this a reality for our operators and their families!"
