Testing out a new Sled Toy, and some life

Saturday 5/19

Sled to warm up/wake up.  25 lb plate for 2 laps

Belt squat on the pit shark: 1 plate, X 2 sets of 10, 2 plates X 10, 3 plates X 8, 4 plates X 3 sets of 8.  These felt pretty good on everything surprisingly.  Sledding before hand definitely helped warm up faster.

Leeman Deads with a 135: 4 sets of 12

Pulled the sled for 2 more laps to get the heart rate back up.

Chain leg raise with one chain: 3 sets of 12

Saturday we went out to eat at our favorite BBQ place “Midwood” and the diet took a turn of course.  Had a burger and sweet potato fries and a few beers.  The thing about having a few beers is it makes you care  less about your diet enough to let you have a few more beers at River rat after dinner.  Needless to say I was 288 on Saturday morning and 295 on Monday morning with lots of beer and food between those weights. 

Monday 5/21 Upper Sled:  I had the idea to make some short ropes to pull the sled with so you could do active rest rope whips on rest periods.  I did two laps alternating all kind of upper body moves like; curls, chest flys, triceps ext, rear delt flys, front raise, iron cross, static biceps curl hold.  In between exercises I would just do alternating rope whips to rest.  It wasn’t much of a rest, but enough to recover and keep going. 

Seated chest press machine: 2 sets of 15, 2 sets of 12

Doubled up monster mini band pushdowns: 3 sets of 15

Tuesday was The long awaited embryo transfer day.  Everything went well with the transfer and Lindsay spent the rest of the day relaxing in the recliner.  She tried to convince me to let her ride with me to grab dinner, but I told her I didn’t want anything jiggling loose so she was staying put.  The next appointment isn’t for another two weeks so we play the waiting game now….
