Deadlift Training to a 365 lb. Single

Deadlift max effort day.

Monday, October 3rd

Today was my pseudo max effort deadlift day and pseudo speed bench day

Deadlift with double mini bands on the jump stretch board starting with the 35 lb bumpers
115 x 5 x 2 sets
165 x 4 x 2 sets
Back down to 115 and add the mini bands doubled up (super suck) for sets of doubles
125 x 2 x 1 set
135 x 2 x 1 set
145 x 2 x 1 set
155 x 2 x 1 set with my blue suit
165 x 2 x 1 set
170 x 2 x 4 sets that got a little better each time

Then we toke off the band bands but kept the board and added a pad
225 x 1, 275 x 1 quickly as 1 set
315 x 1
345 x 1
365 x 1 which was good. It amounts to about 3 inches of deficit so I am pretty happy.  Here is the video:

Then we moved onto the bench with double mini bands
Warmup with bands
Add 12.5 a side for 3 reps
17.5 lbs for 3
20 lbs for 3 for 3
22.5 for 3 for 6
25 lbs for 1 rep
30 lbs for 1 set of 1
32.5 lbs for 1 set of 1
35 lbs for 1 set of 1
37.5 lbs for 1 set of 1 (130 bar weight) it was a slow rep but okay.

All of this took about 2 and a half hours and I was pretty beat when we were done but happy.  The weights are feeling good.
